Service
As we worship, we are reminded of the gospel.
God has called us to himself, forgiven our sins, taught us how to live, communed with us by his Spirit and sent us out to be his witnesses.
We pray that you will be comforted, encouraged and strengthened by God as you worship with us. Our service follows the order outlined below. We hope you find it simple and genuine.
Call
Following a prelude song, one of the pastors will welcome everyone and highlight some upcoming events. Then, the service begins with a call to worship. This is an invitation from God to his people to enter his presence. In response, we sing a couple songs.
Confession
After drawing near to God, we’re reminded of his holiness and our sinfulness. At this point, we confess our sins and receive assurance of our forgiveness. Then, we sing a couple more songs.
Consecration
During this part of the service we are consecrated, or set apart, as God’s people. This happens primarily as we hear from God through the preaching of his word. He speaks to us so that we can live holy lives that glorify him. This part of the service also includes a prayer and the giving of tithes and offerings.
Communion
Following the sermon, we take the Lord’s Supper to be strengthened and united as the body of Christ. We invite baptized Christians who are members of a gospel preaching church to participate. Because this dramatizes our union with Christ, not all attending will partake. We sing a final song after communion.
Commission
Having gathered for worship, we then scatter for witness. Our service concludes with a charge to make disciples for Jesus with God’s blessing. After the service, some of our leaders and members pray for those who would like to receive prayer up front.
